I can’t think of one person I know who doesn’t like home-made chocolate chip cookies. The best recipe I’ve ever made is simply Nestle’s Original Toll House Cookies. I don’t think they can be beat at the best chocolate chip cookie ever . . . except when you tweak the recipe a bit and mix in our Nuts to You! Vanilla Brown Sugar Pecans in place of the optional nuts listed in the recipe. The Vanilla Brown Sugar in our pecans enhances the buttery brown sugar flavor that is inherent in chocolate chip cookies and I think it produces the best chocolate chip cookie ever. So, here is their recipe (which I tweaked a bit to reflect how I make the cookies). I believe I need to state that this recipe is Nestle’s Original Toll House Cookie recipe, in order to make sure I haven’t stolen their recipe for my own uses.

If their chocolate chip cookie recipe is not your favorite, by all means use the one you have used in the past, but just substitute our Vanilla Brown Sugar Pecans in place of the chopped nuts in your recipe. So, here goes . . .

Every once in a while, especially in the summer, I crave chicken salad, either as a sandwich or just on top of a bed of leafy greens. Chicken salad is one of those staples that our moms used to make and at times it became very commonplace in our daily diets, especially as sandwich for lunch. When I crave it, I have to have it, no matter what it takes to get it made, and with my first bite, it brings back memories of my mom who was not the best cook in the world, but she did make a great chicken salad. This version is not hers, it is my take on the classic Chicken Waldorf Salad with a little twist from our Nuts to You! Roasted Garlic Pecans. This can be used as either a sandwich filling, or simply topping a bed of leafy greens.
